I conduct research on risk modeling and risk management, with particular emphasis on climate risk, risk pooling, and parametric insurance.

Holding a PhD in applied mathematics with a focus on actuarial science, I conduct research on risk modeling and risk management, with particular emphasis on climate risk, risk pooling, and parametric insurance. My work relies on tools from probability theory, statistics, optimization, and numerical methods, at the interface of actuarial science, risk economics, and data science. Previously, I obtained my Actuarial engineer degree at ENSAE Paris and the Master 2 Statistics, Finance, Actuarial Science at the Institut Polytechnique de Paris. Before coming in France, I obtained my degree of Statistical Work Engineer at ENSAE Dakar. In terms of professional experience, I have completed many internships in many fields . I worked during six month interships at CNP Assurances as a Actuary-Datascientist in Loan insurance. I have also developed a financial and economic model for the valorisation of solutions IoT (Internet of Things) at Insight Signals. Furthermore, I worked in the field of epidemiological modeling during my final internship for the degree of Statistical Works Engineer. In particular, this internship was carried out within the framework of the European PaleBlu project monitored by the Institut Sénégalais de Recherches Agricoles (ISRA) and the Centre International pour la Recherche Agronomique pour le Développement (CIRAD).

I am currently the coordinator of actuarial science and finance courses at ENSAE Paris, where I oversee the academic management of a portfolio of courses, coordinate external lecturers, and supervise projects, internships, and master’s theses. I also have extensive experience teaching mathematics, statistics, and actuarial science.
