I am a development and environmental economist, with interests in labor and firms.

I am currently an Assistant Professor in Economics at CREST - ENSAE (Institut Polytechnique de Paris).

The first strand of my research focuses on labor and networks in lower-income countries. My work explores how individuals' labor supply decisions are influenced by their social network members, primarily with field experiments. The second strand of my research focuses on firms' responses to environmental changes. It combines insights from the natural sciences with applied micro-economic tools for causal identification. Going forward, I will advance and bridge these strands by studying the interactions of labor markets and the environment in poor communities. My goal is to deepen our understanding of the social and environmental drivers of poverty.

I hold a Ph.D. in Sustainable Development from Columbia University. During my Ph.D., I have served as a J-PAL Graduate Research Transparency Fellow, as a Lead Teaching Fellow at the Columbia Center for Teaching and Learning, and lived for several months in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.
