Samuel Rufat is Professor of Geography at l’Ecole polytechnique, and Principal Investigator of the ERC Consolidator Filling the Behavioral Gap in Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation (ERC FiBeGa).
He is a Disaster Resilient Societies expert with the Community for European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS) of the European Commission, alumni of the ENS de Lyon, and honorary fellow at the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF). He was previously professor at CY Cergy Paris University, and was invited professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the University of Iowa, and the United Nations University.
