SUMMARY: Closing conference of the ANR DREAMeS project
DESCRIPTION:We are very pleased to invite you to the closing conference of the ANR DREAMeS project: “Numerical Methods for Decision: Dynamic pREferences And Multivariate riSks” \nThe conference will take place from Monday\, October 13\, to Thursday\, October 16\, 2025\, at the Institut des Systèmes Complexes\, 113 rue Nationale\, 75013\, Paris\, France. \nhttps://sites.google.com/view/anr-dreames/closing-conference \nThe conference is  dedicated to new advances in the areas addressed by the DREAMeS project: numerical methods\, forward utilities\, multivariate risk analysis and change-point detection. Leading international experts as well as members of the ANR project will present and share their latest advances in those fields. \nThe first day (October 13th) will feature a satellite workshop “Decision in Pension and Risk Sharing”. This workshop will bring together academics to discuss the latest advances in intergenerational risk sharing and forward utility modeling in collective (PAYG or funded) pension systems. \nThere is no registration fees\,  but registration is mandatory (before September 30th) via the registration form: \nhttps://sites.google.com/view/anr-dreames/closing-conference \nList of speakers: \nAlexis ANAGNOSTAKIS (University of Lorraine\, France)\nMichalis ANTHROPELOS (Piraeus University\, Greece)\nZakaria BENSAID (Le Mans University\, France)\nMartin BLADT (University of Copenhagen\, Denmark)\nGuillaume BROUX-QUEMERAIS (Le Mans University\, France)\nJean-François CHASSAGNEUX (ENSAE-IP Paris\, France)\nAlfred CHONG (Heriot-Watt University\, Scotland)\nHippolyte D’ALBIS (Paris School of Economics\, France)\nPierre DEVOLDER (Université Catholique de Louvain\, Belgium)\nBoualem DJEHICHE (KTH\, Sweden)\nRoxana DUMITRESCU (ENSAE-IP Paris\, France)\nIvan-Alexis FONSECA DIAZ (UNIL\, Switzerland)\nPierre-Olivier GOFFARD (Université de Strasbourg\, France)\nXin GUO (Berkeley University\, USA)\nManal JAKANI (École Polytechnique\, France)\nSarah KAAKAI (Sorbonne Université Paris Nord\, France)\nSigrid KÄLLBLAD (KTH\, Sweden)\nGechun LIANG (University of Warwick\, England)\nStéphane LOISEL (CNAM\, France)\nMohamed MRAD (Sorbonne Université Paris Nord\, France)\nHuyen PHAM (École Polytechnique\, France)\nEmanuela ROSAZZA-GIANIN (University of Milano-Bicocca\, Italy)\nWissal SABBAGH (Le Mans University\, France)\nNizar TOUZI (New York University\, USA)\nSteven VANDUFFEL (Vrije Universiteit Brussel\, Belgium)\nRenyuan XU (New York University\, USA)\nThaleia ZARIPHOPOULOU (University of Texas\, USA) \n

SUMMARY:Digital Skills for CREST PhD Students
DESCRIPTION:Digital skills for CREST PhD students / open to IPP PhD Students \nAim: To provide PhD students foundational digital practices for research. There is no prerequisite. Primarily designed for statistic/economic/social sciences. \nDate: October 15th\, 2025 \nContact: emilien.schultz@ensae.fr – please register \nInstructors: \n\nNicolas Chopin (Professor in statistics at ENSAE)\nÉmilien Schultz (Research engineer/Data scientist at CREST)\n\nProgram: \nPlease come with your own computer to facilitate hands on exercises \n13:30 [CLI – optional] “Don’t be afraid of the command line”: a beginner introduction to CLI & Unix systems – Émilien Schultz \nThis session will be a quick introduction on how to use a terminal and to be autonomous with command lines. It is an important step to be fluent with scientific programing or access remote HPC servers. \n14:30 [Latex] “Separate the content from form”: introduction and discussion on best Latex practices for research to format scientific articles – Nicolas Chopin \nLatex is essential to the scientific publishing process. After a global introduction to the philosophy behind Latex\, this session will give an overview of the tools and good practices needed during the PhD. \n16h30 Break \n16:45 [Git] Learning from open-source practices to improve open science: introduction to code versioning tools (Git & Github) – Émilien Schultz \nCode versioning and collaborative platforms as Github are powerful tools to support your digital practices\, both improving the quality and dissemination of your work. This session will introduce you the basics of code versioning and open-source practices of collaboration1 \n18h00 End of the afternoon \n  \n
