Location: France
Position Type: Assistant Professor
Deadline: Nov 20, 2017

Job Description:
ENSAE-ParisTech is one of France’s top graduate schools in economics, statistics, and finance. Our research center, CREST (Center for Research in Economics and Statistics) is shared with Ecole Polytechnique. In September 2017, we moved to a new building located on the campus of Ecole Polytechnique, within the Paris-Saclay scientific and business cluster.

We are inviting applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in Economics, starting in September 2018. An Associate Professor position could also be considered for candidates with academic experience.

We are seeking to recruit a researcher with an applied profile. We are looking for candidates interested in applying quantitative methods to the study of corporate strategies. Expertise in structural methods (that combine theoretical and econometric modelling) will be an asset.

Teaching at ENSAE will essentially consist of one course during the first three years of contract and of two courses the next three years. The courses will illustrate corporate strategies in various dimensions (e.g., finance, organization and management, marketing) and industries (e.g., e-commerce, transportation, health, energy), by showing how theoretical and econometric tools can be applied to actual decision making.

Candidates should have, or be close to obtaining, a PhD. Applicants should provide the following documents: Cover letter, CV, Statement of Research, selected papers, and three letters of reference. Applications must be submitted at https://econjobmarket.org by November 20th, 2017.

Interviews will be held at the ASSA meeting in Philadelphia. Other arrangements are possible for short-listed candidates who cannot attend the meetings.
